Well first things first, prompted by the involvements sheet
we received today I signed up for the ASX Share Market Game again. I listed down
Jacques, Collin and Richard as my group members. Maybe I should have asked
permission from Jacques and Richard before hand, though I honestly don't
believe that they would have cared. Oh and I hope you guys don't mind the name
of our group being "lolipedofins".
But yes, maybe you're wondering about what all this "e-gnorance" is
about? Well a few days ago on MSN Messenger, a friend of mine, which
will remain unnamed, started talking to me about the
"egnorant masses". I actually hadn't spoken to this person in quite a
while so it was also a sort of reunion if you will. Anyway he didn't
use the hyphen for the word "egnorant" so I was wondering
whether this was some clever new way to describe a 'newbie' or
whether
he himself was unaware of the correct way to spell the word. So I asked
him which of the two it was but somehow provoked him into calling me
"egnorant" because I didn't know the meaning of the word. That was
when I thought that he was playing some strange joke on, since I failed to find
any real credible sources which did have the word, I asked him whether he had
looked it up in the dictionary before, and he said he had. Well the conversation
sort of deteriorated from there and he started to avoid me when I gave him
various online sources linking to websites defining the word
"ignorance". He continued to say that I was
wrong, quite a humorous event I must say, though maybe not so humorous for him. At least he didn't use any foul language, well
at least not anything which I would consider as such. But yes, Welcome to the
Ignorance.

| Anyone
miss me in my absence? No? Anyway let's see... I was planning another
site renovation to make amends for my lack of updates but I'll probably
never get around to
that anytime soon. But one thing that I have
decided to change is
the format of my posts. From this post onward, every post will be
accompanied
by one lucky picture, maybe two if I'm feeling generous. I still
remember how I thought that it was a great idea to use an image because
of all the different ways you could use it. Oh and any additional
information I want to add to the entry will be placed in this comment which
will be
created prior to the publication of the entry; I thought that the idea
of using a little message with a smaller font down the bottom of the post was slightly
distracting. But yes, it will basically be a footnote of sorts to list all my
sources
and be a place for the little side notes I want to
make about
the entry.
On other matters, nothing much has happened in my life recently, although my
definition of 'nothing much' is probably questionable. In brief, I learnt how
to play tabletop games, left my house to watch a movie and obtained my mid-year exam results which put things in
perspective of what I should be aiming for in university. Actually I've been indecisive about this until recently. I
also spent the night of the school formal at home humming a jaunty
tune whilst reading some Japanese manga, watched a few anime series and increased the PS3 fund which
should be ready by the end of the year. My English teacher has taken long service
leave and been replaced by Mr. McMahon, which my previous teacher seemed to hold
high regard for. Nothing much, right?

| There is certainly an unchanging strangeness about you -- but are you alright with the way things are?
Only a week or so ago at school I was browsing around the
internet during the usual library period when the person next to me decided to
take a quick peek at my screen. I wasn't doing anything special, just
researching a few things out of random curiosity. But then I noticed he turned
to look at me with a face which read "this guy should go and find a counsellor".
Well I tried to ignore him and continued my little investigation. I personally don't
find that there's anything wrong with browsing Wikipedia, do you…? Even if I
was looking up things like… strange fingernail diseases and wicked skin
infections. I’m normal... right? | | |
